Naggar Castle is one of the must-visit places near Kullu. This beautiful castle was built by Raja Sidh Singh of Kullu in the 17th century, and represents great heritage of the region. The castle is designed in traditional Himachali architectural style with paintings, intricate carvings, use of wood and stone for the construction, and a beautiful courtyard.
It served as the residence of the Kullu rulers for centuries, later on; they shifted their capital to the present Kullu town. The Naggar Castle is currently converted into a heritage hotel and has a museum as well, which houses some of the unique collections
