Best time to visit Kaza

The best time to visit Kaza is during the months from May to August and then in October as only during these months the weather conditions are favorable. Also, the entry points that are Kunzum Pass and Rohtang Pass are open during the mentioned months only. From end of October till March both these passes remain close due to heavy snowfall.

How to reach Kaza?

By Air

If coming by flight, the nearest airport to Kaza is Bhuntar Airport (or Kullu-Manali Airport). From Manali tourists will have to take a local bus or taxi to reach Kaza.

By Train

If coming by train the nearest railway station is Shimla railway station, which comprises of the famous route Kalka-Shimla toy train route from Kalka. From Shimla tourists will have to take a bus or taxi till Kaza.

By Bus

If coming by bus, tourists will have to take a bus from Delhi or Chandigarh to Manali. Once they reach Manali they will have to take a bus or taxi to Kaza. Remember, Manali, HRTC buses to Kaza runs only during the summer season. However from Shimla, buses to Kaza are available all throughout the year, and make its stop at places like Reckong Peo.
